Emerson Axsom to run for Ten-J in the Tulsa Shootout
Franklin, IN. (12/16/20) Emerson Axsom Racing is pleased to officially announce that Emerson, defending Tulsa Shootout Outlaw Wing winner, has been tabbed to drive for Ten-J and Jared Huckleberry in the Tulsa Shootout. Emerson, who is returning to the Tulsa Expo Center in search of his second driller, will be wheeling two of Huckleberry's creations. Emerson will compete in 4 classes (A Wing, A Non-Wing, Outlaw Wing, and Outlaw Non-Wing) against some of the best competition the sport has to offer. Emerson enters this race with high hopes and expectations. Emerson was quoted as saying, "I can't begin to thank Mr. Huckleberry enough for the opportunity to drive his cars again. They are truly some of the best equipment I could ever ask for and I love the way they drive. The team is top-notch and with my dad and the Ten-J team working together wrenching on them, I should be in really good shape to make runs at the features. With a little luck and hard work, I could even win another driller." Emerson's dad, Joe, is equally excited for the opportunity as he shared, "Ten-J called us and asked if Emerson would want to race their car at the Expo Center. We saw it as a no brainer and a great opportunity for Emerson to drive an elite car for a great team. I feel there is no doubt that the combination will be strong, and we are looking forward to getting on the track and showing what we can do."
"When you have an opportunity to partner with a young and talented driver like Emerson, it is easy to see why we asked him to be one of the drivers for our team. He is a great kid with the unique ability to wheel a racecar to the front," said Jared Huckleberry, owner of Ten-J. Huckleberry continued by stating "If you watch him race, you just know he can maximize the potential of your equipment. We are very happy he chose to drive our cars and we are looking forward to seeing him lock these cars in the show".
Next week Emerson will make his way to Ten-J's world headquarters in California where he will be fitted into the cars in preparation for the Tulsa Shootout December 30 thru January 2, 2021.
